I am a Chartered Landscape Architect with 16 years applied experience in the public and private sector followed by 17 years in academia.

Biography

I am a Chartered Landscape Architect with 16 years applied experience in the public and private sector followed by 17 years in academia; as a course leader for several undergraduate and postgraduate courses and as Faculty Head of Quality and Standards. Professional practice and large scale landscape planning are the two areas I am most passionate about and enjoy teaching.

The Crabtree Memorial Bursary, Civic Trust, Leeds. (1988) for the proposal: ‘An Open Space Network for Leeds City Centre’.

Teaching & Research

Teaching

Large scale landscape planning informed by current changes to policy frameworks using real world projects. I’ve also delivered teaching in CAD, design, urban design and professional practice.

External responsibilities

Working with the Landscape Institute on a number of initiatives around their Education Review and changes to course accreditation processes.
