After starting my career in independent local radio, I then moved to BBC Radio Oxford, contributing to local and national news coverage and hosting my own radio shows. I moved into TV with ITV Central where I reported on major news and sports events for a regional audience – including the RAF’s role in the Gulf War, and coverage of Premiership rugby and the Cheltenham Festival.
Now, as an academic, I am even more proud of the achievements of my students, as I watch them develop into the new generation of journalists.
