Biography

My postgraduate degree in Animal Science had been built on extensively and broadened since the start of my biology technical career in 2002. As a Bioscience Technician Demonstrator in the School of Natural, Social and Sports Sciences I provide teaching support, one-to-one and small group teaching, equipment and ensure health and safety compliance in the laboratory, on field trips and residential courses (UK and international) across the Biology, Zoology, Biomedical Sciences, Wildlife Conservation, Ecology and Environmental Sciences undergraduate programmes, along with Applied Ecology Post Graduate programme.

As a senior member of the team I work alongside academics to provide students with an excellent learning experience. I enjoy assisting students during taught practical’s and dissertation research, and ensure a safe, efficient and structured route through student laboratory work with the aim of making each student workplace ready.
