Your interview
In the School of Health and Social Care, we are committed to creating a ‘Culture of Care’. Our interviews are designed to support you in understanding more about the requirements and demands of the course and ensure that each individual who is successful has the best opportunity to achieve their potential. The interview is a two way process, so please ask any questions that you may have. Good luck
Essential information
Your interview day will last approximately 2-3 hours and will start with registration, during which you will be invited to present your photo ID and complete any necessary forms for your course. There will also be opportunity to discuss any queries with Admissions staff and / or student ambassadors.
After registration and form checking you will be given a brief presentation about the course, followed by a group-based activity. This will be followed by a campus tour and an individual interview. There will be opportunities to ask questions throughout.

Please bring with you a form of identity that includes a photograph, e.g. a passport or driver’s photocard licence. During your interview we are keen to see real enthusiasm for the course and your interest and understanding of physiotherapy as a potential career. We would like to hear about any relevant experience you may have, including work experience opportunities, and what you have learned from these. Think about transferrable skills you may have developed in either university or work. We are also looking at your ability to problem solve. Be sure to re-read your personal statement in your application and have a think about your ambitions after you graduate.

In order to prepare for your interview please consider the following questions:
What values and beliefs are important to you?
What attributes make a good physiotherapist and why would you make a good candidate? Think of your transferable skills and be able to give examples showing how you embody these.
What inspired you to think of physiotherapy as a career option and why are you attracted to study with us?
How would you describe the role of today’s physiotherapist, where do you think physiotherapists might work and how is the profession developing?
How have your current / previous qualifications prepared you for study on a Physiotherapy MSc. programme?
