Your interview
In the School of Health and Social Care, we are committed to creating a ‘Culture of Care’. Our interviews are designed to support you in understanding more about the requirements and demands of the course and ensure that each individual who is successful has the best opportunity to achieve their potential. The interview is a two way process, so please ask any questions that you may have. Good luck.
Essential information
You will be invited to either full morning or afternoon interview session. Attending the event is not just about the interview; we want you to view our specialised facilities, attend a group discussion/interview, meet with our academic teams, chat with current ambassadors, tour the campus and visit the accommodation you may be living in. We also welcome parents/guests to our interview day and hold a special Q&A for them whilst you are attending your interview.
During your registration you will be asked to show an official form of ID such as passport or photocard driving licence and complete a Self-Declaration form. After registration you will be given a brief course presentation, followed by a group-based activity and an individual interview There will be opportunities to ask questions throughout .

During your interview we are keen to see real enthusiasm for the course and your interest and understanding of Physiotherapy as a potential career. We are particularly keen to hear about any relevant experience you may have, including work experience opportunities in Physiotherapy, and what you have learned from these. Think about transferrable skills you may have developed in either school, college or work. Be sure to re-read your personal statement in your UCAS application form and have a think about your ambitions after you graduate

To prepare for your interview please consider the following questions:
• What values and beliefs are important to you?
• What attributes make a good physiotherapist and why would you make a good candidate? Think of your transferable skills and be able to give examples showing how you embody these.
• What inspired you to think of Physiotherapy as a career option and why are you attracted to study with us?
• How would you describe the role of today’s physiotherapist, where do you think physiotherapists might work and how is the profession developing?
• How have your current / previous qualifications have prepared you for study on a Physiotherapy BSc programme?
What do you need to send us

• certificates for GCSE English Language, Mathematics and Science.
• L3 qualifications or higher, e.g. AS/A Levels, Access to Higher Education Diploma, BTEC Diploma, Degree etc.
