Essential information
-
Your interview is really all about providing an opportunity for us to get to know you a little more, and for you to get to know us better. By attending an interview you will have a valuable opportunity to see our campus and talk to the Academic Course Leader on a one to one basis. The interview does allow us to learn a bit more about you, but importantly it also allows you to learn more about us too, ask questions, and be best placed to decide whether this is the university for you.
The meeting and campus walk will last around 30 minutes; the tone is very supportive and relaxed. The purpose of the meeting is to give you an insight into the focus of our course; what, how and where you will be studying, as well as to give you the opportunity to ask us any questions you might have. It is, first and foremost, a personalised space for you to meet the Academic Course Leader and have a conversation.
You will be sent an email with important details and information about your interview. Please read this through carefully.
If you have any questions or require more information about your interview, please contact our admissions team on 03330 141414 or email [email protected].

We want you to talk to us about your ideas, enthusiasm and potential. We want to talk to you about what is of interest to you in your own life. And we’d like to hear about the things, places, and people that inspire you and also about your future plans and ambitions.
What we may ask you?
Why are you passionate about studying Urban Planning?
What aspects of the subject, and our course, interest you?
Tell us about your aspirations, career ideas, and plans?

What have you done that reflects the person that you are and the interests that you have? i.e. school/college work and activities, volunteering, community work, hobbies, pastimes etc
How do you think our course could help you achieve your goals?
What do you like about our university?
We also want you to ask us questions:
Think about the things that you want to know about the course.

You don’t need to bring anything except yourself, your questions, and maybe a notebook and pen/pencil for notes!
You can contact the Academic Course Leader directly if you would like to ask more about the meeting itself or the course:[email protected].
