Business students showcase their research at Expo 2022 Dubai

University of Gloucestershire doctoral students presented their research at Expo 2022 Dubai – an exhibition showcasing the best examples of collaboration, innovation and cooperation from around the world.

The students, who are studying for the University’s Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA), discussed United Arab Emirates (UAE) public taxation strategies, the digitisation of public sector services in the UAE, and the implementation of augmented and virtual reality technology in UAE technical and vocational education.

Their other research topics included the development of a sustainable economy of the UAE, employee experiences of business mergers, and evaluating Emiratisation recruitment strategy for UAE national residents.

The event was hosted at Expo 2022 Dubai’s UK Pavilion, where the DBA students discussed their work with Academic Course Leader, Dr Alan Marvell, and the event organisers, BTEC Universities.

Dr Marvell said: “It was a privilege for University of Gloucestershire to have a presence at the Dubai Expo and for doctoral students to be hosted at the UK Pavilion.

“It signifies the relationships between University of Gloucestershire, overseas partner BTEC Universities and government ministries in the United Arab Emirates.”
