COMX 2022 will showcase talents of Game Technologies students

University of Gloucestershire’s annual COMX exhibition will showcase the innovative and technical talents of its Game Technologies students, enhancing their career prospects in the process.

COMX 2022, which is sponsored by the British Computer Society, Janet Trotter Trust Fund and Rebellion Games, will feature original student-created digital projects spanning videogames, interactive technologies, animation, and art.

The exhibition provides an opportunity for employers within the creative computing industry to meet talented final-year students with the up-to-date skills and knowledge that will prove an asset to their businesses.

Winners of the COMX 2022 awards recognising the talents of Game Technologies students at the University will be announced during the exhibition.

COMX 2022 will be held on Friday 10, June between 10am and 4pm in the Engineering Block at the University’s Park Campus in Cheltenham.

Tickets are free but should be booked in advance. The event is being held in person and streamed online.

Paul O’Brien, Academic Subject Leader for Game Technologies at the University, said: “The COMX exhibition is a fun and engaging platform that enables our Game Technologies students to demonstrate the skills and knowledge that they have gained while studying with us.

“The COMX awards are a great way to reflect and recognise the work of students who have gone above and beyond over the past year amongst their peers.

“We look forward to welcoming employers from across the region and beyond who are looking for talented creative computing graduates to recruit to their teams.”
