Connect with next generation of cyber and digital talent at UoG’s Employer Roundtable

University of Gloucestershire has joined forces with employers from across the county to support businesses to connect with untapped talent at its new £5.8 million centre of excellence for cyber and digital.

The 2025 Gloucestershire Cyber and Digital Launchpad Employer Roundtable will enable businesses to learn more about how they can tap into the next generation of talent in cyber security, software engineering, network engineering and data analysis through degree apprenticeships at the University.

The showpiece event will take place at FuturePark – featuring state-of-the-art equipment and technology – at the University’s Park Campus on Wednesday, 2 April (12noon to 2pm). The event is free to attend but places must be booked in advance.

The Launchpad is bringing together innovative and forward-thinking employers who are committed to making new apprenticeship roles in cyber security and digital available within their organisations, to be filled by new recruits with the potential to thrive.

The University is collaborating with schools, colleges and community organisations to find suitable candidates to fill new apprenticeship roles to start in September.

Sophie Burch, Client Manager at the University, said: “Whether they’re completely new to apprenticeships or have already experienced their benefits, we look forward to welcoming employers wanting to find out more about how apprenticeships can help their businesses.

“Following the success of the scheme last year, the 2025 Gloucestershire Cyber and Digital Launchpad Employer Roundtable offers an exceptional opportunity to connect with other employers, meet our expert academics and find out about the unique support on offer.”

As it strengthens its community, cyber and digital employer connections, the University is playing a leading role with its partners in addressing the skills gap in cyber and emerging tech in Gloucestershire and beyond by offering a range of apprenticeships.
