Decolonising the Literature Curriculum

Between 2020-2022, Charlotte was engaged in pedagogic research into decolonisation and curriculum innovation as part of her long-standing interest in and commitment to teaching and learning.

This work culminated in an edited volume, forming part of Palgrave’s Teaching the New English series. The book is called Decolonising the Literature Curriculum, and features experienced and engaging academics from the UK, America, Europe and Turkey, Australia, and South Africa. Through their innovative practical examples and powerful reflections on decolonisation, the book provides a compelling companion to current teaching and learning debates in the UK and worldwide. A symposium is being planned to disseminate the research.
