University of Gloucestershire teams up with designer Emma Willis to produce scrubs for frontline staff in Gloucestershire

Fashion Design staff and graduates from the University of Gloucestershire, have been working with bespoke shirt maker Emma Willis, to make scrubs for health care workers across the county.

Emma Willis is an honorary fellow of the university and is famous for making shirts for the likes of Prince Charles and Daniel Craig. After setting up a fundraising page Style for Surgeons, Emma’s team has cut and donated fabric for the scrubs, along with volunteering training, packaging and pressing for the supplies that will go to staff working on the frontline in Gloucestershire.

The materials have been used by the team at the University of Gloucestershire, which includes graduates who completed their degrees last year along with staff from the University’s Fashion Design team which includes Margaret McDonough, Senior Lecturer in Fashion Design, Julia Davies and Dan Adlam, both part time lecturers at the university. They have so far created over 100 sets of scrubs for local NHS services.
