University hosts group of agents

On 19 April the University held its second agent training day on our campuses in Cheltenham and Gloucester where we welcomed agents from China, Japan and Vietnam. The day was a wonderful opportunity to showcase our key subject areas and facilities, and for agents to ask questions about our courses directly to Course Leaders and International Office staff.

The key themes to emerge were our strong support for international students and our focus on employability and practical skills that students can learn on our programmes which help them find good jobs after graduating.

The schedule for the day involved campus tours of our 3 campuses, presentations covering Art and Design, Business, Computing, Hospitality & Tourism, Media and Psychology courses and ended with a delicious cream tea served in our beautiful Chapel on the grounds of Francis Close Hall campus.

The agents fed back that they had found the event very productive and would use the knowledge gained to promote the University’s key strengths to prospective students. The visit was such a success that it is planned to extend the event to 2 days for next year.
