UoG experts win UK Legal Award for dedication to excellence
University of Gloucestershire experts have won a national award for their dedication and commitment to developing the next generation of forensic psychologists and criminal justice professionals.
The team of academics, practitioners and applied practitioner academics that delivers the MSc Forensic Psychology programme at UoG has received the UK Legal Awards 2024 Dedication Excellence Award: Forensic Psychology Education and Research.
Organised by SME News, the awards are designed to acknowledge and celebrate organisations and individuals who have exhibited excellence, innovation and leadership in the legal sector.
Dr Amy Grubb, Associate Professor of Forensic Psychology and Course Lead for MSc Forensic Psychology, said: “Everyone involved in delivering the programme is thrilled to have won the UK Legal Awards 2024 Dedication Excellence Award: Forensic Psychology Education and Research.
“The award is testament to the team’s passion for their specialist subjects and immense pride in their work to ensure that our students are fully equipped for rewarding and meaningful careers as forensic psychologists and criminal justice professionals.
“We’d like to thank our partnership organisations, including government and privately operated prisons, local police constabularies, and third sector organisations, for their support in designing, developing and delivering the programme.
“These important partnerships enable our students to benefit from teaching and learning from experienced academics and practitioners, and work experience opportunities and field trips in real-world settings that bring academic theory to life.”
