UoG is launching 2025 LeaderLab programme to support regional business
University of Gloucestershire is collaborating with the business sector in Gloucestershire for the launch of a fresh leadership initiative to support innovation, collaboration and economic growth across the county.
Designed and delivered by business development experts, the University’s 2025 LeaderLab programme will provide participants with the skills and knowledge to drive positive change across their organisations and bring a fresh perspective to leadership challenges, opportunities and strategy.
LeaderLab will be delivered at the University’s £18 million state-of-the-art Business School – home to the award-winning Gloucester Growth Hub – where facilities include a business incubation centre, boardrooms and a consumer behaviour lab.
Starting on 27 February, the core of the programme consists of six full-day in-person modules, where participants engage with innovative teaching methods in collaborative, interactive sessions. These modules cover the key touchpoints of leadership, which participants then further explore through peer group discussions and assignments.
Alex Cottrell, Head of External Relationships at the University, said: “We’re extremely proud of our partnerships within the business community and the important contribution these relationships make to the prosperity of our region.
“Through our collaboration with business and the range of services and access to expertise that we offer, we’re able to respond to their skills needs by offering programmes like LeaderLab, which proved such a resounding success last year.
“It is a programme for people currently in leadership who want to upskill with some formal training, those who are soon to be in leadership roles and want to give themselves a great headstart, or anyone looking to update their knowledge and skills in this hugely interesting and increasingly important professional development subject space.
“We’re especially proud that the programme attracts a mix of business sectors and leadership experience, which enables participants to connect on an individual and organisational level, explore a range of management styles and break out of their bubble.
“It just goes to show what a real impact it can make when you build those strategic connections and allow yourself to learn and to continue learning, and that’s what we’re all about.”
