UoG sponsors Businesswoman of the Year Award at SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards 2026
University of Gloucestershire is proud to be sponsoring the Businesswoman of the Year Award at the SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards 2026.
Now in their sixth year, the SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards highlight and celebrate pioneering new companies and hidden success stories, through to the biggest businesses which underpin the county economy.
The Businesswoman of the Year Award recognises inspiring businesswomen who have broken boundaries and achieved significant career success in any industry, while demonstrating qualities of vision, drive and leadership.
Entries for the awards have opened and will close on 28 June.
As a driver of economic growth and prosperity, the University is proud of its partnerships and collaborations with businesses and organisations across the region.
The University offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in business, higher and degree apprenticeships, and short courses for individuals and businesses, including the Help To Grow: Management course.
Alex Cottrell, Head of External Relationships at the University, said: “We’re really pleased to be sponsoring the Businesswoman of the Year Award at the SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards 2026. It’s an important category that recognises the impact, leadership and ambition of women shaping our business community across the county.
“Through our business support and executive education programmes, we’ve seen first-hand the strength and diversity of female leadership in Gloucestershire, and it’s something we’re proud to champion. That includes supporting our own colleagues to achieve their ambitions and progress in their careers, and we’re looking forward to celebrating the full breadth of success and ambition within Gloucestershire at the awards in November.
“We’re proud of the relationships we’ve built with employers to help them access the skills they need to grow, while giving our graduates clear routes into rewarding careers. Whether working with regional businesses or global organisations, we support employers of all sizes and sectors to develop and thrive.”
