Preparing students for their future careers is something we are very passionate about, we provide employability-based opportunities and support through the degree. We have a “Professional Skills” module in year two, where you’ll undertake a project which advances your career-specific skills and knowledge. Students can also choose to complete a brief internship with an external organisation during year three, gaining additional work experience useful for your intended career.
Recent projects and internships have been completed with Sunflowers Suicide Support, Victim Support, SEND schools, and Headway Gloucestershire.
You’ll also undertake a final-year research project in an area of psychology that interests you and aligns with your career goals.
Graduates from this course can go on to work in various areas of psychology including forensic, clinical, occupational and health. Alternatively, you might consider a career in human resources, teaching or research.
