A brand-new campus
It’s planned that on-campus teaching for this course will start at Oxstalls in September 2024, then transfer to the new City Campus in Gloucester in the 2024-25 academic year. This provides time to ensure a smooth transition and familiarisation with the new facilities for all.
The vibrant new City Campus will be at the heart of the regeneration of Gloucester city centre. It will bring an iconic building back to life as a modern centre for teaching, learning and community partnerships and provide an excellent student experience.
Study style
The course is taught over two semesters and is based at our Oxstalls campus in Gloucester – alongside our Social Work, Nursing and Paramedic Science courses. Here you’ll have access to specialist facilities, including the simulated hospital ward and a bungalow where we simulate health and social care scenarios. You’ll be taught by accomplished and accredited lecturers with extensive knowledge of the health and social care field.
Our curriculum includes a mix of active learning in the classroom, online and through Interactive Skills Development Days. Skills Development Days will offer you the opportunity to apply theory to practice in a safe and supportive environment – reflecting on what you do with experienced professionals in real-world settings.
