Amy lands media role at UCAS

Amy Owen is a Media Content Officer at UCAS, Cheltenham.

“For me, the MA PR, Communications, and the Media postgraduate was a way of exploring the marketing and social side of journalism, learning the ins and outs of how social media content is created, pitched, and presented all the way through to being published.

It helped me gain more confidence through group activities, presentations and leading my own projects which ultimately gave me the confidence to apply for a media content officer role at UCAS which is where I am now working full time. My lecturer suggested the position and gave me all the help I need with the application.

Without the MA, I feel as though I wouldn’t have had the skills, knowledge or confidence to be where I am now and would recommend the course to anyone who is looking to further their education and skill set.”
