Becky Smith: Head coach – University of Gloucestershire Netball

It has been a great experience being part of the Sport Scholarship Programme for the past three years while studying at the University of Gloucestershire. Being supported by the Scholarship Programme has allowed me to develop and enjoy new experiences, from coaching the 1st team in BUCS to having links with the England Netball Pathway, Severn Stars and my coaching mentor Melissa Bessell. The programme has made it feasible for me to complete my degree in Sports Therapy alongside earning in a career I love and am passionate about. The funding I have received has enabled me to achieve phenomenal things as a coach but also as an athlete during my time here.
