Student of Sport Business Management, Neal Osborn enjoyed a successful placement at Forest Green Rovers FC and is due to start a graduate role with Gloucester Rugby club after he graduates.
“I’ve had a great time at University so far, I’ve loved all the modules but particularly the presentations and the events modules. The teaching has been great throughout, and all lecturers have been incredibly supportive.
“I have represented my fellow students as a Course Rep throughout my time and have really enjoyed the amazing sports on offer here. I’ve represented UoG in both the University football and cricket teams, and I won the ‘Rising Star’ award at the Students’ Union Awards.
“Because of the great support and module experiences, I was able to have a successful placement with a professional football club based in Gloucestershire, Forest Green Rovers FC. I have learned a lot from the club, and I wrote my final year dissertation in partnership with both the club and Cheltenham Town FC, exploring branding and marketing approaches with fan behaviour.
“The guidance from the course team and the University as a whole has been amazing, and when I finish my studies I will begin a graduate role with Gloucester Rugby club as Customer Experience Executive.”
