A Celebration of the Commonwealth Games: Exploring the wellbeing benefits of Sport and Arts

Thursday 16 June, 10:15- 14:30, Oxstalls Campus, GL2 9HW

Open to Year 12 Students (also available to Year 10 by arrangement)

Bring your students to our Oxstalls campus to take part in a variety of free activities that will explore the relationship between sports, arts and wellbeing.

The last couple of years have shown us the importance of looking after our mental and physical wellbeing through creative and physical activities and in this Commonwealth Games year, we are bringing together our academic departments to celebrate the contribution of Sport and Arts to the wellbeing of students.

Sessions may include*: • Exploring the wellbeing benefits of photography through hands on opportunities, creating their own piece to be included in the final showcase.• Taking part in a rotation of sports activities.• Watching a performance from our university dance undergraduates. *subject to change

Students will have the opportunity to get involved in all activities, no matter their level of ability.
