Your students will have the independence to choose which sessions they would like to attend on the day.

Subject workshops will be bookable a week before the event.

All sessions will run throughout the day to allow flexibility and enable students to attend the sessions they are most interested in.

Students will only be able to attend one campus tour. 

We will be providing a handout to all students at check-in. This handout will include a bingo card listing the activities they can attend. After each activity, our staff will sign this card to prove their attendance. 

It will be up to you to determine how many sessions you would like your students to attend on the day (dependent on your arrival and departure times) and to ask to see their bingo card at the end of the day. We will require a contact for a lead member of staff attending on the day in case any students are refusing to attend sessions. 

If your students have specific questions for our student support staff such as our disability team, accommodation team, money advice, then we can arrange for a one-to-one meeting with the right staff member on the day. Students must bring their own lunch; our refectories will be open for anyone who forgets to bring food with them. Please be aware that refectories can get very busy at peak times and provide a cashless service only. 

Students should bring a water bottle with them – we have refill points throughout all of our campuses.

Please provide your travel information using the booking form. If you are travelling by minibus or car, we will be able to reserve a space for you on site. If you are arriving by coach, you will need to be dropped off, and the driver should find alternative parking for the day.

Each session will have a maximum capacity depending on workshop type and room capacities. The core university information sessions and Live Q&A will be repeated throughout the day so we guarantee they will be able to attend these sessions.

The subject taster workshops are likely to have smaller capacity.

Bookings for subject sessions will go live a week before the event when we will send you a booking link.

We would encourage you to share the booking link as soon as possible with your students as these sessions will be managed on a first come first serve basis. 

There will be members of staff who are first-aid trained supporting the day; if a student becomes unwell, they should make themselves known to a member of university staff in the first instance. 

As per our risk assessment, your group should bring your own first aid kit. Students with any medical needs or injuries should make our staff aware at the start of the day.

The number of staff you allocate for the visit will depend on the size of your group and individual school guidelines. At least one member of staff should be assigned as the main point of contact for each campus your students visit. 

The day is designed to be an independent experience for students. They will attend activities led by outreach staff, student ambassadors and academic staff. We cannot guarantee that you will always accompany your students during these sessions.

We encourage you to visit information sessions, look around our facilities, monitor your students’ behaviour and take a proactive approach when booking the visit – e.g. creating a supported plan for students who may have additional learning needs or behavioural concerns.
