The Michael Perham University and Cathedral Lecture 2022

Faith in a Time of Climate Change by Hannah Malcolm

What does the climate crisis reveal to us about being human? How should we rethink our faith in the face of global collapse?

Hannah Malcolm

We are delighted to welcome Hannah Malcolm to present our annual Michael Perham University and Cathedral Lecture.

Hannah was the winner of the 2019 Theology Slam, and has since edited Words for a Dying World: Stories of Grief and Courage from the Global Church. Hannah regularly speaks and writes about climate justice and environmental theology, and is a contributor to BBC Radio 4’s Thought for the Day. She is currently training for ministry in the Church of England and writing a PhD on a theology of climate and ecological grief.

The Michael Perham University and Cathedral Lecture series is named in commemoration of Michael Perham. As well as being Bishop of Gloucester, Michael was Pro-Chancellor of the University of Gloucestershire for many years, served as Chair of the University Council, and was instrumental in developing closer relationships between the University and the Diocese.

Admission is free but places must be booked in advance.
