This is the first Honourable Company of Gloucestershire Business Lecture, where Janet Mui CFA, RBC Brewin Dolphin’s Head of Market Analysis will speak on Where do we go from here? A view of markets for 2023.

She has already spoken on “How do you Solve a Problem like Inflation” and the growing influence of China on world markets and trade through their Belt and Road strategy. This lecture will be equally insightful dealing with the added complexity of a world market coming out of Covid and the added dimension of the Ukrainian conflict.

The Honourable Company of Gloucestershire was formed by Sir Henry Elwes KCVO in 2007 when he was Lord Lieutenant of Gloucestershire. Members strive to promote the county and its potential and encourage charitable giving for the benefit of the county.

Our Speaker

Janet has over 10 years of experience in macro research and was previously the global economist at Cazenove Capital. She is responsible for the commentary and communication of Brewin Dolphin’s macro / investment views to clients and the media and is a frequent guest on the BBC, Sky News, Bloomberg and CNBC. Janet won the best industry commentator award at the 2021 City of London wealth management awards.

She has a first class Economics degree from the London School of Economics and an MBA in Finance at Cambridge University. She also holds the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing and the Postgraduate Certificate in Econometrics from Birkbeck College, University of London. Janet was named one of LinkedIn’s top voices in finance for 2022.
