Global opportunities

Whether you seek adventure in tropical rainforests, want real-world experience, or simply would like to make a positive change to the world around you – we have those extra opportunities that will make all the difference to your degree and career. Here are a few examples of what our students have been up to around the world.

Travel

Adventure lies on your doorstep and across the globe, with local excursions and trips worldwide.

All trips are subject to COVID-19 restrictions and the below are examples of past field trips students have experienced. There may be additional costs and the destinations are subject to change – please take a look at the course pages for more information.

  • Visit local Forest Schools, plan outdoor lessons and discover what makes Sweden the international leader in early years practice on a field trip to Sweden.
  • Explore creative lesson-planning on a local field trip to the Oakraven Centre, Forest of Dean. Outdoor activities in surrounding woods, BBQs and a beautiful main hall with wood burner offer the perfect environment to bond with fellow classmates.
  • Visit day-care centres and kindergartens in Helsinki, discovering the city’s best practices in early years education.
  • Explore philosophy, poetry and history in Córdoba, Spain with published authors and poets.
  • Take in the culture and discover new philosophies on an incredible trip to India.
  • Follow the Dymock Poets’ trail through nearby local countryside and perform your own work to the beautiful hills, in outdoor workshops.
