Planning your visit

Last updated: 12 August 2025

We’re so pleased that you have booked a visit to University of Gloucestershire, we look forward to welcoming you and your students.

To ensure your visit runs as smoothly as possible, please read the following information and if you have any further questions please email the Outreach Team: [email protected].

How to find us

To avoid unnecessary delays, please make sure you know when and where your visit is taking place.

You can find information about each of our campuses, including directions and maps below:

Parking

Please be advised, we have limited parking availability on campus so if you are arriving by coach, your driver will need to find alternative parking for the duration of your visit.

If you are planning to arrive by minibus, please provide us with the vehicle registration before your arrival so we can inform security.

Please note: There is no on-site parking at City Campus. The nearest public car park is located at Kings Walk, Gloucester GL1 1EA. See a full list of Gloucester car parks.

Refreshments

Students are advised to bring their own packed lunch with them. If they forget to, food will be available to purchase on campus at the refectory, but please note that only card payments are accepted and there may be a long wait for food at peak times as our own staff and students will also be using the same facilities.

There is no refectory at City Campus. Snacks and drinks are available from vending machines within the building or can be purchased from shops and cafes around Kings Square.

Health and safety

Our risk assessments are reviewed annually and can be found for each campus below:

We ask that visiting schools and colleges are responsible for managing the behaviour of students and supervising them at all times during the visit. Outreach Officers are first aid trained but Student Ambassadors leading on campus tours may not be. School and college staff should be responsible for administering first aid in the first instance.

We cannot guarantee that everyone on campus is DBS checked (as these are open campuses used by staff, students and members of the public), although Outreach Officers are all DBS checked.

PDF copies of risk assessments are available on request. If you have any questions, get in touch via email [email protected].
