International Admission and Student Route Sponsorship Policy
This policy defines how international student admissions will be handled...
Last updated: 28 November 2025
To support your time as an international student in the UK, both during and after your studies at the University of Gloucestershire, there may be occasions when you need an official letter from the University to evidence your student status and visa conditions. For those on a Student visa, International Student Services provide a range of letters to meet the compliance requirements of external organisations.
Please note, letters that aren’t specifically linked to the terms of your Student visa can be generated directly from Student Records Online, e.g. enrolment confirmation letter, bank letter, and council tax letter.
All student letter requests are managed through our online Microsoft Form. Please click on the button below and log in using your University credentials to submit a request.
Please take care to answer all questions fully and accurately, as requests can only be actioned where the letter requested is appropriate to your circumstances and all required information has been correctly submitted. Letters can only be issued to currently enrolled students.
All letters will be issued as an electronic pdf and emailed to your University account.
We aim to process all valid letter requests within five working days, however during busy periods it may take slightly longer.
Please avoid submitting duplicate requests, email reminders, or asking for an update, as this will limit our capacity to action your request. Unfortunately, we are not able to prioritise urgent requests or action requests submitted by email. Due to security and email handling filters, duplicate requests are automatically removed from the system.
No letter requests will be actioned while the Academic Boards are processing your results, or after your final award has been confirmed and published, as you will then be deemed to have completed your programme. Please refer to the subsequent email titled ‘Decision of the latest Award Board of Examiners’ to evidence your programme completion.
All letters issued remain valid for three months, unless there has been a substantive change in your enrolled student record or circumstances. Please do not submit repeat requests within a three-month period.
