Entry requirements
We understand that it can sometimes be difficult to work out what your qualifications match with in the UK education system, so the following country-specific information should help you decide which level of study is most appropriate for you.
- Successful completion of a recognised foundation course
- Successful completion of STPM Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysian with grades A-C in 3 subjects
- Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) – A minimum score of B or above in five relevant subjects (not including English, Chinese and Malay), plus SPM Maths grade C
- Applicants holding Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas will be considered for advanced entry to level 5 (second year) or level 6 (final year). Please note that some courses may require higher entry requirements. Applicants are advised to check the course page, and/or conditions stated in the offer letter.
Successful completion of a Bachelors degree with a 2:2 lower second degree or minimum GPA 2.6 out of 4.0. Please note that some courses may require higher entry requirements.
MRes applicants must have successfully completed a 3 or 4 year Bachelors degree with a minimum GPA 3.0 or equivalent.
For Doctorate and PhD admission, applicants must have successfully completed a master’s degree with a good grade in a related subject field or hold relevant work experience. In addition some programmes may require work experience and/or a strong portfolio of work. Applicants are expected to submit a research proposal.
