Global scholarships
New, international self-funded students* studying on-campus starting in the academic year 2027/28 may be eligible to benefit from one of UoG’s global scholarship packages.
No application required.
We’re always looking for ways to add extra value to your studies. Our global scholarships reduce the financial burden, so you can focus on more important things like your academic career and maximising your study abroad experience.
Ranging from £1,500 up to £7,500, our scholarship programmes are available to support you on your road to success.
Global scholarship – £1,500
Amount
Automatic £1,500 tuition fee waiver deducted from first year’s tuition fee at the point of offer.
Eligibility
This is for new, self-funded international tuition fee paying students studying full-time for a minimum of 2 semesters on an undergraduate or postgraduate taught programme on campus. Postgraduate Research students are not eligible for this scholarship.
The scholarship cannot be combined with other scholarships.
All international fee paying students are eligible with the exception of those applying from India, Nepal, Turkey and USA or with who are Indian, Nepalese, Turkish or Nepalese nationals, who will be considered for the Country Scholarship.
The Global Scholarship will be automatically awarded at the point of offer and detailed in the offer letter. The scholarship is only available for the named programme in the offer letter and beginning in the academic year 2027/28.
INDIA SCHOLARSHIP – £4,000-£5,000
Undergraduate: Automatic £5,000 tuition fee waiver deducted from each year’s tuition fee at the point of offer.
Postgraduate Taught: Automatic £4,000 tuition fee waiver deducted from each year’s tuition fee at the point of offer.
This is for new, self-funded international tuition fee paying students studying full-time for a minimum of 2 semesters on an undergraduate or postgraduate taught programme on campus. Postgraduate Research students are not eligible for this scholarship.
The scholarship cannot be combined with other scholarships.
To be considered students be either living in India at the time of application (and therefore Country of Domicile stated as India) or be of Indian nationality.
The country scholarship will be automatically awarded at the point of offer and detailed in the offer letter. The scholarship is only available for the named programme in the offer letter and beginning in the academic year 2027/28.
NEPAL SCHOLARSHIP – £4,000-£6,000
Undergraduate: Automatic £6,000 tuition fee waiver deducted from each year’s tuition fee at the point of offer.
Postgraduate Taught: Automatic £4,000 tuition fee waiver deducted from each year’s tuition fee at the point of offer.
This is for new, self-funded international tuition fee paying students studying full-time for a minimum of 2 semesters on an undergraduate or postgraduate taught programme on campus. Postgraduate Research students are not eligible for this scholarship.
The scholarship cannot be combined with other scholarships.
To be considered students be either living in Nepal at the time of application (and therefore Country of Domicile stated as India) or be of Nepalese nationality.
The country scholarship will be automatically awarded at the point of offer and detailed in the offer letter. The scholarship is only available for the named programme in the offer letter and beginning in the academic year 2027/28.
TURKEY SCHOLARSHIP – £4,000-£5,000
Undergraduate: Automatic £5,000 tuition fee waiver deducted from each year’s tuition fee at the point of offer.
Postgraduate Taught: Automatic £4,000 tuition fee waiver deducted from each year’s tuition fee at the point of offer.
This is for new, self-funded international tuition fee paying students studying full-time for a minimum of 2 semesters on an undergraduate or postgraduate taught programme on campus. Postgraduate Research students are not eligible for this scholarship.
The scholarship cannot be combined with other scholarships.
To be considered students be either living in Turkey at the time of application (and therefore Country of Domicile stated as India) or be of Turkish nationality.
The country scholarship will be automatically awarded at the point of offer and detailed in the offer letter. The scholarship is only available for the named programme in the offer letter and beginning in the academic year 2027/28.
USA SCHOLARSHIP – £4,000
Undergraduate/ Postgraduate Taught: Automatic £4,000 tuition fee waiver deducted from each year’s tuition fee at the point of offer.
This is for new, self-funded international tuition fee paying students studying full-time for a minimum of 2 semesters on an undergraduate or postgraduate taught programme on campus. Postgraduate Research students are not eligible for this scholarship.
The scholarship cannot be combined with other scholarships.
To be considered students be either living in the USA at the time of application (and therefore Country of Domicile stated as India) or be of American nationality.
The country scholarship will be automatically awarded at the point of offer and detailed in the offer letter. The scholarship is only available for the named programme in the offer letter and beginning in the academic year 2027/28.
SPORTS GLOBAL EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP £5,000-£7,500
The Sports Excellence Scholarship is aimed at high performing student athletes who wish to combine high performance sport alongside undergraduate or postgraduate taught study at the University of Gloucestershire. This is applied as a tuition fee waiver designed to reward sporting excellence. The Scholarships are open only to international fee-paying students.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate they are performing at the required level in the performance sport.

Application deadline

Eligibility
This is for new, self-funded international fee-paying students studying full-time. Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught students must be studying on-campus. The scholarship is applicable to any undergraduate and postgraduate taught course starting in September 2027, studied for a minimum of 2 semesters.
The scholarship is only available for the named programme in the offer letter and beginning in September 2027 and for the following high-performance sports: women’s soccer, men’s basketball and volleyball. Other sports may be considered.
Scholarships will be awarded by the Sports Scholarship Group comprising of coaching staff. Applicants must meet the set and required entry criteria as well as performance criteria. An interview may be required.
Students receiving the Sports Global Excellence Scholarship will also be subject to the sport scholarship terms and conditions.
On commencing studies at the University, scholarship holders will be contacted by the University, and be required to periodically participate in marketing activity that includes (but is not limited to) video and photography content creation, blog commentary, supporting recruitment events.

Progression partner scholarship – £5,000
If a student wishes to transfer to an undergraduate programme at University of Gloucestershire from an overseas progression partner, the University will offer a Progression Partner Scholarship worth £5,000.
Amount
£5,000 tuition fee waiver deducted from first years tuition fee at the point of offer.
Application deadline
No application required – this is an automatic tuition fee waiver.
Eligibility
Students who wish to transfer to an agreed progression pathway from an overseas partner are eligible.

The £5,000 scholarship is split across the number of years of study at the university, as outlined in the table below.

- This scholarship only applies to self-funded, undergraduate students, studying for a minimum of two semesters (one academic year) on campus, paying international tuition fees.
- A valid Progression Agreement should be in place between the University and the partner for students to qualify for the award. Check our list of progression partners and eligible transfer options.

International tuition fees
Find out about the tuition fees you’ll need to pay for your course, with detailed breakdowns of undergraduate and postgraduate fees for international students.
- *Students are considered to be self-funded when they are paying their own tuition fees or receiving financial help from family or friends to allow them to pay their tuition fees.
- If a student meets the criteria for more than one of the scholarships outlined, they will qualify for the discount offering the largest reduction of the standard tuition fee. Only one financial award will apply in any programme of study undertaken by the student.
