Inaugural lecture explores education, extremism and democracy

Professor Hazel Bryan will be exploring Education, Extremism and the Reinterpretation of Liberal Democracy at her inaugural lecture at the University of Gloucestershire’s Park campus, Cheltenham, on 16 May at 6pm.

Hazel was Head of the Department for Professional Development in the Faculty of Education at Canterbury Christ Church University for seven years before her appointment as Head of Research, Knowledge Exchange and Consultancy.

Now strategic lead for research in the School of Education at the University of Gloucestershire, Hazel is also the convenor for the Research Priority Area, ‘Learning and Professional Contexts’. Her research interests include education policy, political philosophy and textual analysis.

Passionate about teaching and learning, her research interests include education policy, political philosophy and textual analysis.
