The Swindon and Wiltshire Institute of Technology (SAWIOT) is an employer-led initiative delivering higher level skills training in the region.
With a wide range of courses from Apprenticeships through to degree level study, the SAWIOT is a collaboration between FE providers, Universities and Employers. The SAWIOT will specialise in delivering high level digital and technical training providing students with a clear route to technical employment and employers with a skilled workforce.
University of Gloucestershire is delighted to be partnered with the Swindon and Wiltshire Institute of Technology to run the degree programmes indicated below offering the high-level technical skills in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) currently needed by employers and the economy across a broad range of course areas.
Delivered at a new £21 million centre of excellence at New College Swindon’s North Star campus, state-of-the-art facilities include engineering workshops, digital labs, science labs and a film studio. Lecturers from UoG teach the courses below and work in collaboration with New College Swindon to offer flexible, practical skills training.
Ideal if you are looking to retrain or specialise in the area of computing and engineering or those that are looking to study within the region, the courses below are delivered by experienced academic staff from UoG in a state-of-the-art environment that will provide a high-quality education.

Applications for these courses are made to University of Gloucestershire. Undergraduate courses are applied to through UCAS, Postgraduate can be applied to through the course page on our website.
Entry requirements
Entry criteria is as specified on the course pages. Mature applicants will be considered on the merit of the application and not just the qualifications they hold.
