Dr Alex Delalu, is a forward-thinking academic in business and management, with a strong passion for organisational development. His early career in consultancy and financial services exposed him to the practical challenges organisations face, sparking a lasting interest in organisational culture, performance, and strategic decision-making.
His academic journey progressed in the United Kingdom, where he completed a Master of Business Administration at the University of South Wales, followed by a PhD in Business and Management at Cardiff University. His doctoral research explored how organisations sustain culture during times of crisis, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, reflecting deep interest in resilience, leadership, and organisational behaviour. Driven by a commitment to impactful teaching and scholarship, Dr Alex has built extensive experience delivering business and management education, integrating research-informed teaching, innovative learning technologies, and real-world case studies to enhance engagement and academic success. Alongside teaching, he remains actively engaged in research, with interests centred on organisational culture, leadership, and the evolving challenges facing contemporary organisations.
I have taught undergraduate and postgraduate students across a range of business and management subjects, including global business environment, international business, global leadership challenges, and managing people. My teaching combines theoretical frameworks with real-world applications, research-informed insights, and the use of digital learning technologies to create an interactive classroom environment where students are encouraged to engage, collaborate, and share perspectives.
My research interests centre on organisational culture, leadership, and business sustainability in times of uncertainty. My current work focuses on workforce characteristics and culture management in contemporary organisations, with an emphasis on resilience and adaptability.
