I have set up many film premieres and film festivals audio systems. I am passionate about educating the next generation, and have taught throughout my career.
I studied on the University of Surrey Music and Sound Recording (Tonmeister) course, where I was awarded the AMS Neve prize for best recording portfolio. During my second year, I started freelance music recording.
I started working at CTS-Lansdowne recording studios, working as the facility technical manager. Three months after graduating I worked on Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. I then worked as a freelance recording engineer and producer, while also teaching Sound Recording as an associate lecturer at the University of Surrey.
I became a Senior Sound Consultant at Dolby, working on a wide range of films internationally, and being one of the initial Dolby Atmos consultants and educators in the film, TV and music industries. I trained and lectured many industry professionals and educational institutions. I also co-wrote a patent, and technical guidelines. I worked on titles such as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 and Alien: Covenant.
I then moved to Pinewood studios, where I redesigned the 2 main dubbing theatres and worked on many Marvel productions and Jurassic World: Dominion.
I currently lecture at University of Gloucestershire, I’m Head of Audio Technology at Splice Post in London and do freelance music recording work on location and at studios such as Abbey Road.
