I am a senior lecturer in Business and Economics with PhD degrees in Economics and Management.

Biography

I am a senior lecturer in Business and Economics. I have PhD degrees in Economics and Management and have worked at Wuhan University, China; Strathclyde University; and Portsmouth University in the UK as a lecturer and researcher before I joined University of Gloucestershire in 2000. Having taught many courses in business and economics fields, both at graduate and postgraduate level, I accumulated rich experiences in teaching and supervising postgraduate students including Master’s, PhD/DBA students.

Teaching & Research

Research

My academic journey develops from an earlier interest in the transition economies, through extended interests in applying theories in international business/economics to China’s financial sectors to today’s focus on entrepreneurship and innovation especially within financial sectors.

I have published many articles in peer-reviewed academic journals and book chapters, and have served as a reviewer for various journals such as Journal of International Studies, Service Marketing, China Economic Review, Empirical Economics, Economic Planning and Applied Economics. I have also reviewed books or book chapters on statistics and mathematics for Wiley and Emerald.
