Giovanna Di Monte-Milner

Biography

I completed my Masters degree (Mint Prof) within the Department of Architecture, at the University of Pretoria (South Africa) in 2006. After completion of my studies, I worked for various architectural firms in South Africa, and an interior design firm in London, UK.

My research focuses on sustainable interior design, especially regenerative thinking and design. I also have research interests in the topics about HIV/AIDS curriculum integration; decoloniality in design education; and Guerrilla marketing in Interior Design.

I achieved a Green Star SA Accredited Professional – Interiors in 2014, a Living Future Accreditation (LFA) through the Living Building Institute in 2022.

Since 2013 I have taught and moderated at various universities and institutions across the globe:

• South Africa (RSA): University of Pretoria, University of Johannesburg, Tshwane University of Technology, DSSA, Inscape
• England: University of Derby; University of Lincoln (External Examiner).
