Generally Erasmus and Study Abroad students are required to study full-time and select modules totaling 60 credits per semester. This typically means four courses per semester (15 credits each). Please note that in the UK 2 credit points (CAT) = 1 ECTS credit.

Erasmus and Study Abroad students can choose from any of the modules we offer, subject to availability and the following rules:

  • You can only study modules in the subject area of your university's exchange agreement with the University of Gloucestershire.
  • You must meet the pre-requisites for modules if applicable, and should send evidence of this with your application.
  • You can select Level 4 (Year 1) or Level 5 (Year 2) modules, or a combination of levels. However, you must make sure that your module selection is appropriate and approved by your home institution’s Erasmus/ Study Abroad Coordinator before you commence studies with us.
  • Final Year/Year 3 modules can only be taken in special circumstances.
  • Please take a look at the courses we offer to help you decide which modules to study. The “Course map” within each degree profile details the modules covered. Once you have applied we will be able to provide further information on the availability and timetabling of modules available in the semester you will study with us.

If your university has an Erasmus or Study Abroad Exchange Agreement with the University of Gloucestershire, you may be eligible to study with us free of charge. Please speak to your home institution’s Erasmus / Study Abroad office to check whether an agreement is in place and whether you qualify for nomination. Please note you may still be required to pay tuition fees to your home institution.
