At postgraduate level Keith teaches Strategic Management and Research Methods. He is also currently supervising one DBA and six PhD students, having previously supervised one PhD student to completion.

Keith was previously Director of Studies in the Business School and then Director of the university's Strategic Alliance with the two largest FE Colleges in Gloucestershire. Before joining academia he also held strategic management positions in the outdoor leisure and tourism sectors, including sixteen years as Chief Inspector of quality and safety standards for the British Activity Holiday Association. This experience, combined with an MBA and PhD, informs his postgraduate teaching and research supervision.

I encourage my students to develop their critical understanding of theoretical principals applied to real world issues and, particularly at Master's and Doctoral level, establish a position in those debates for their own research.

My research interest is how the service experience is co-created, consumed and managed in service industries, particularly using qualitative approaches to seek deeper meaning and understanding.
