Develop yourself along scientific and applied pathways, resulting in accreditation for the International Society of Performance Analysis of Sport upon completion. The practical nature of many disciplines within this subject area lend themselves to innovative practical assessment methods, allowing meaningful assessment of discipline based competencies.  Through a wide variety of delivery and assessment modes, this course offers opportunity for life-long learning, encouraging enhancement of employability, using industry-relevant assessment practice. Assessment on this course is designed to inspire and challenge students; promote creativity and grow confidence.

Study style

Assessments include practical based exams, presentations, scientific report writing, and a research proposal leading to an independent project.

Entry requirements

  • 2:1 classification in a sport-related degree
  • Those who hold a sport-related degree classification of either 2:2 (or below) or a non-sport-related degree will be considered on a case-by-case basis and may be required to submit a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate relevant experience/knowledge
  • EU and international students need IELTS 6.0 overall (no less than 5.5 in writing and in any other band) or equivalent

Amateur and Professional teams are seeking experienced practitioners with the skills to undertake match and technique analysis in both individual and team-based sports, using a range of highly technical equipment and software. The employment market expects that candidates will have recognized accreditation to undertake the role of a Performance Analyst in Sport.
