University of Gloucestershire highly commended at C2S Business Awards
University of Gloucestershire has been highly commended in the Large Employer of the Year category at this year’s C2S Business Awards, recognising the University’s contribution as one of the county’s leading employers and its impact on the region.
The award celebrates large organisations that demonstrate outstanding business performance, innovation, leadership and a positive contribution to their communities.
University of Gloucestershire’s submission highlighted many achievements including strong graduate outcomes and major investment in facilities that benefit both students and the wider community – particularly City Campus and FutureSim.
Judges also recognised the University’s role as a driver of skills, innovation and economic growth, including ongoing work to support the Golden Valley development.

All these activities reflect University of Gloucestershire’s Connected University approach, bringing together education, employers and civic partners to create opportunities across Gloucestershire.
Speaking after the awards, Dame Clare Marchant DBE, Vice-Chancellor of University of Gloucestershire, said: “Being highly commended at these high-profile and prestigious awards is a huge achievement. I am extremely proud. It is testament to the hard work and dedication of colleagues across the organisation, and to our talented students.
“Everyone has played a part in the progress we’ve made in building a university that continues to make a positive difference to our students, our communities and the wider region. Congratulations to you all.
“Thanks also to C2S for being a great partner and working tirelessly to help businesses of all sizes to achieve their growth ambitions”.
