UoG welcomes local residents to use air-conditioned public spaces during hot weather
University of Gloucestershire is reminding local residents that a number of air-conditioned public spaces across its campuses are open to the community during normal opening hours.
As temperatures rise, people living, working or spending time nearby are welcome to make use of these spaces to cool down, take a break from the heat, or work and study in a more comfortable environment.
At the University’s City Campus in Gloucester, members of the public can access Gloucester Library, which is being promoted as a community cool space, as well as the public areas on the ground floor.

At Oxstalls Campus in Gloucester, the ground floor of the Business School offers several air-conditioned spaces, including the coffee shop and atrium area.
Catering facilities will be available at Oxstalls Campus for part of the day. Visitors are also welcome to bring their own food and drink.
The University is keen to support people from the local community who may benefit from access to cooler indoor environments during periods of hot weather.
Visitors are asked to use the spaces considerately and to check campus opening hours before travelling.
