The BA (Hons) Communications and Media is taught by expert lecturers with real-world experience. You’ll learn how to create content through video, podcasting and digital storytelling. From writing for PR and communications to shaping social media campaigns, you’ll build a confident, professional voice

Studying BA Comms and Media involves a mix of seminars and workshops to develop practical skills, with a real-world focus.

This isn’t about sitting in a large lecture hall. Our Comms and Media degree is all about ‘doing’. Teaching is via practical classroom-based learning where we explore concepts and put them into practice together. 

We build relationships with you, and you’ll build teams with your fellow-students, making the most of your creative ideas and supporting each other to learn together. 

Our programme of modules will enable you to; 

  • Understand the key elements of PR and communications, such as crisis communications; putting a campaign together; working with influencers; the power of a publicity stunt 
  • Gain real-life experience creating video and content for businesses, charities and other clients. 
  • Portfolio-based assessments enabling you to develop in confidence and showcase your creativity 
  • Access to fully equipped studios and edit suites – and develop the skills to make the most of our state-of-the-art facilities 
  • Connect with industry through regular guest speakers, work experience, trips and visits

96 – 120 UCAS tariff points

Your grades are just one part of your story, which is why at UoG we accept any grades from any combination of level 3 qualifications.

GCSE in English Lang/Lit and Maths at grade 4/C or above are usually required.
