In the global business environment, the ability to connect, interact and build community is crucial to securing success. Exploring events of all sizes, our Business and Management (Events Management) specialist course will introduce you to the exciting world of meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions.

If you have ambitions to forge a career creating outstanding business experiences and bringing people together, then this course is for you.

Working with experienced industry specialists, you’ll develop understanding of both the strategic and operational aspects of business events. Examining the commercial and not-for-profit sectors, you’ll have the opportunity to enhance your expertise through work experience and collaboration with a range of industry partners. Alongside your specialism, you’ll gain universal knowledge and skills for a career in Business and Management.

Accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), all our Business and Management degrees ensure you develop essential skills, knowledge and experience while completing a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management as part of your studies. This means potential employers will be confident that you’re career-ready and able to do anything, from working for a multinational corporation to starting and running your own business.

  • active learning designed to engage you in a range of learning activities, in addition to lectures, tutorials, seminars, and group exercises, making full use of real-life case challenges, industry guest lectures, projects, and business pitches
  • the use of a range of learning enhancement digital technologies; a blended online and face-to-face approach to teaching is designed to maximise your opportunities for learning
  • computer-based simulations that model real-life situations, enabling you to apply your knowledge, adapt to changing scenarios and think out-of-the-box in dealing with simulation examples
  • lecturers with business practitioner experience to add insight and colour to explaining business concepts in sessions
  • sustainability is embedded within modules across every level, which requires you to think about broader issues that relate to communities and the environment.
  • assessments that are related to real work performed in business.

Entry requirements

    • 104 UCAS tariff points, BCC at A levels, DMM at BTEC or a Merit in your T-Level.

      If you are unsure whether we could make you an offer or you have any questions, just get in touch with our admissions team who will be able to advise you.

    • English Language or Literature and Maths Grade 4/C in GCSE (or equivalent) are normally required.

    • We welcome applications from mature students (aged 21 and over) and do not necessarily require the same academic qualifications as school leaving applicants, although some entry requirements may still apply for Professionally Accredited Courses. We accept Access to Higher Education Diplomas and make offers on an individual basis.
