It is fantastic having lecturers that are still practising in the industry as it allows you to have the best current understanding of the industry and what it is like to work in it. They always offer incredible advice and share stories from the jobs that they are working on which is great to learn about and to understand how things work in the industry. With this, comes the lecturers’ fantastic contacts book. This is great because we have had so many amazing guest lectures from people that are at the highest level in the industry.
Continuing with a Master’s degree here has been a fantastic way to realise my potential and push myself to pursue another avenue in the media industry. I now have more understanding of the industry I want to go into and feel that I am better equipped to apply for jobs. I also feel more confident to apply for jobs as I am aware that I have the qualifications that might be needed.”
Katy has since secured a job with Gloucester Rugby’s marketing department.
