Y12 (or equivalent) are invited to take part in practical masterclass sessions hosted by industry experts. Meet current students, use industry standard facilities and put skills to the test.

Devising

• Introduction to Laban technique for acting
Boal and Forum
• Devising a Forum piece
Acting
• Stanislavski workshop: Exploring some acting techniques
• Brecht – Introduction and exploration of techniques: Specific work on Caucasian Chalk Circle and Gestus.
• Arthur Miller and the Crucible or All My Sons
• The Greeks and Aristotle’s Poetics: The root of Theatre and the Bacchae by Euripides
• Shakespeare: Page-to Stage: Understanding text and performing Shakespeare.
Physical Theatre
• Exploring techniques into creating work: including exercises by Frantic Assembly
• Exploring Lord of the Flies through physical theatre
• Berkoff and East or Metamorphosis: physical theatre approach
• Blood Brothers: a physical theatre approach to the text
Singing
• Working in Harmony: Learning how to sing in harmony and hold your line. Students learn a three-part harmony song.
