Who runs the University of Gloucestershire?

The University of Gloucestershire has a strong leadership team who are responsible for all matters associated with the development and management of the university.

The leadership team includes members of the University Executive, Heads of Schools, and Heads of Professional Services.

In addition to the University Executive Committee (UEC), the University is led by the Academic Leadership Group (ALG) which includes all the Executive plus the Heads of School.

The University Management Forum (UMF) includes all members of ALG and the Heads of Professional Services. The Council is the University’s governing body.

The University Executive Committee (UEC) is responsible for all matters associated with the development and management of the university. This includes the university strategy and academic provision, in addition to matters relating to finance, HR, marketing, communications and estates.

Academic Leadership Group members

The Academic Leadership Group (ALG) is responsible for the leadership and management of the University’s academic operations and the business of the academic Schools. Its focus is on strategic issues of academic direction and the interface between the Executive and academic activity.

ALG is responsible for all matters associated with the development and management of the core academic activities of the university, including the development of academic collaborative partnerships.
