University of Gloucestershire welcomes students from all around the world and, as such, we have international representatives based in many countries all over the globe. We understand that it can sometimes be difficult to work out what your qualifications equate to in the UK education system. Our country-specific information should help you decide which level of study is most appropriate for you.

Entry Requirements  

Undergraduate (Bachelors)
  • Successful completion of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) plus completion of a recognised foundation course or successful completion of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) with a GPA of 4.2 or above. Achievement of a Pass in HND will allow entry to level 5 (second year) and a Merit will allow entry to Level 6 (final year). Please note that some courses may require higher entry requirements. Applicants are advised to check the course page, and/or conditions stated in the offer letter.

Postgraduate (Masters)
  • Successful completion of a 3 or 4 year Bachelor Degree from any UGC recognised public or private university with a minimum GPA 2.5 GPA from a public university and 2.7 from a private university. Please note that some courses may require higher entry requirements. Applicants are advised to check the course page, and/or conditions stated in the offer letter.

Postgraduate (Research)
  • MRes applicants must have successfully completed a 3 or 4 year Bachelors degree with a minimum GPA 3.0 or equivalent. For Doctorate and PhD admission, applicants must have successfully completed a master's degree with a good grade in a related subject field or hold relevant work experience. In addition some programmes may require work experience and/or a strong portfolio of work. Applicants are expected to submit a research proposal.
