Your grades are just one part of your story, which is why at UoG we accept any grades from any combination of level 3 qualifications.
Here’s an example of how 96 – 120 UCAS tariff points might look for some common level 3 qualifications.
GCSE in English Lang/Lit and Maths at grade 4/C or above are usually required.

We welcome applicants with a pass in a relevant Foundation or Extended Diploma (Level 3 or 4).
You can apply for this course with an integrated foundation year – a four year study option with lower entry requirements.
A typical offer for this option is 48 UCAS tariff points, which is EE at A-level or PP at BTEC.

We welcome applications from mature students (aged 21 and over) and do not necessarily require the same academic qualifications as school leaving applicants, although some entry requirements may still apply for professionally accredited courses. We accept Access to Higher Education Diplomas and make offers on an individual basis.

You’ll be able to learn new skills and complete projects and assignments in our industry standard studios. Our large open studios are reflective of industry standards, with plenty of space for workshops and activities.
Our Book Nook is an impressive collection of resources from our teaching team and gifted from our industry friends. Pull up a chair and gather inspiration from across the creative industries.
The Maker Space is a dedicated studio for the creation and construction of 2D, 3D and VR Graphic Design.
Our specialist print room facilities creative experimentation and skill generation through a wide range of resources, tools and industry standard machinery.
The Project Space is an open-plan exhibition are where we host rolling exhibitions throughout the year. There are also regular collaborative exhibitions across year groups and creative disciplines.

Our step-by-step guide to the application process.
Joining the School of Arts, Culture and Environment means that you’re joining a wider community of creative sector partners and collaborators.
You’ll gain essential industry experience through work placements and live briefs. Students have recently worked with Channel 5, 1HQ London, Jones Knowles Ritchie, Bulletproof and Taxi Design winning awards with their work and moving into successful design careers.
As part of your course you can gain valuable experience on an optional placement year.
This is a practical and professional degree course. You’ll experiment with different approaches to creativity using a range of design methods and strategies.
You will experiment and explore your creative capabilities during specialist workshops, learn to collaborate and build professional connections through working on both individual and group assignments, and skill sharing across creative courses. You will also build up your freelance portfolio through live briefs throughout your studies.
Your lectures will also be supported by a wide range of industry visitors from a variety of creative backgrounds. These visitors will help to shape and inform your understanding of creative employment opportunities and techniques used across the sector.
