The sports and exercise industry offers a range of exciting careers. Studying a degree in a sports related subject will give you the right skills and knowledge to succeed in this industry as a professional.
You will be taught in our brand new international-standard sports arena and our specialist labs, therapy suites and strength and conditioning suite. You’ll be challenged and supported by our experienced coaches, therapists and scientists.
We offer a variety of sports degree courses that will allow you to specialise in the aspect of the sport and exercise sector that interests you. We have degrees that include a lot of physical aspects and others that are more theory based.
Our undergraduate sports degrees include, Sports Therapy, Physical Education, Strength, Conditioning and Rehabilitation, Sports Business Management, Sport and Exercise Sciences and Physiotherapy. All of our undergraduate courses award a Bachelor of Science (BSc).
Our postgraduate sport courses include Sports Therapy, Performance Analysis, Strength and Conditioning, and Physical Education. Most of our postgraduate courses award a Master of Arts degree (MA) or Master of Science (MSc), however some of our courses also offer a Postgraduate Diploma or Postgraduate Certificate option.

Completing a sports degree will open the doors on lots of different careers. For example you might be interested in becoming a sports therapist or physiotherapist, perhaps in a clinical setting. If you are more interested in the business side of things you could go into a management career or sports marketing, policy and planning. A sports education based degree would give you a route into teaching whereas a coaching degree would give you experience of personal training and fitness coaching. You could also go into a career in community sport and development or if you are more into the science of your degree, you could work in sports research or sport and exercise sciences.
Those who look at doing sports university courses will likely have a strong interest in sport and exercise and want to focus on a certain aspect of that as a career. You don’t have to be really good at a sport to study it at degree level, you could also have an interest in the commercial and business side of sport or the science and research side of it.
