Get the essential information about funding and scholarships for UK-based undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Find out more about undergraduate and postgraduate funding at University of Gloucestershire, including information and guidance about fees, loans and finance for UK-based students.
We also offer a range of fee waivers, scholarships, bursaries and awards for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Depending on your course or status, you may be eligible for additional funding.
No upfront tuition fees. You won’t have to pay any fees while you are studying; you can apply for a student tuition fee loan to cover the fees. This will be paid directly to the university. Tuition Fees for full-time undergraduate and PGCE courses will be £9,250 and £11,100 for Fast Track courses.
You can also apply for a student maintenance loan to help towards your living costs up to £9,488 if you live away from home to study and up to £7,987 if you stay at home. You can apply for student loans from March. You do not need to wait for a confirmed offer of a place on a course.
Additional non-repayable grants may be available for students with dependents and for students with disabilities.
Living cost loans and grants will be paid to students in three equal instalments over the academic year – one at the beginning of each term.
You will only start to repay the loan in the April following graduation if you are in employment and are earning a salary over £27,295. You will repay 9% of your income above £27,295. For example if you earn £28,800 you would repay £11 per month
Each course can vary in price. Fees are explained on the individual course pages.

The majority of students who pursue postgraduate education usually support themselves through student loans, private savings, family support or sponsorship from an employer. If you would like to learn more about funding options, our Money Advice team will be happy to help. You can contact them at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01242 714535.
Students applying for taught and masters courses can benefit from a non means-tested loan. If you’re studying for 2, 3 or 4 academic years, the loan will be divided equally across each year of your course. The loan will be a contribution towards the costs of study and paid directly into your bank account. Whether the loan is used towards fees, maintenance or other costs will be at your own discretion.
