A short walk from the railway station is Gloucester city centre and the Gloucester transport hub where you can catch the number 94 Stagecoach bus service. It stops on Cheltenham Road, opposite the campus.

Absolutely. You’ll be able to view on-campus accommodation, plus you’ll be able to hop on our free shuttle bus to Blackfriars and Upper Quay off-campus halls where you will have a guided accommodation tour with a student ambassador. The shuttle bus will run until 5pm.

The shuttlebus to and from Blackfriars and Upper Quay off-campus accommodation runs from 11.40am – 4.40pm. The Sports Arena will be included in the route from 2pm.

As City Campus is in the centre of Gloucester, there is no on-site parking. However, the nearest public car park is located just a few minutes’ walk away at Kings Walk, Gloucester GL1 1EA. See a full list of Gloucester car parks.
Waterwells Park & Ride also operates daily to the centre of Gloucester, and is conveniently situated near to Junction 12 of the M5.

Car parking spaces are limited at FCH, so we recommend you park at the Park and Ride at Cheltenham Racecourse. There will be a free shuttle bus every 30 minutes (in the morning, every 20 minutes in the afternoon) from FCH to the Park and Ride (incorporating Pittville Student Village in the afternoon).

With Cheltenham town centre just a 5 – 10 minute walk away, you should definitely take a look. The Brewery Quarter has a great range of restaurants, lively bars and entertainment and a little further into town you’ll find specialist shops and cafés to explore.

A practical perspective using a bariatric weighted suit. As practitioners and researchers, we are aware of the issues relating to the lack of physical activity associated with obesity. However, guidance given to school children on physical activity often fails to recognise the difficulties that obese children face whilst growing.
